My faithlessness in smallest of the things
Today God spoke to me about my failure in the test when some one asked me to say a small lie in order to avoid more work. I agreed to lie and thought, ok, I will not lie. But at the time of need, I lied where as the one who asked me to lie told the truth. Finally I felt ashamed for agreeing to lie.
God spoke to me saying I was not faithful in smallest of things. I confessed my sin at the Lord. He forgave me. " Lord, Help me not to betray you or deny you for the benefit of my self". I thank God for speaking to me in this area.

Thoughts from Book of Job
As God provides me with his grace, i would like to compose thoughts I got while meditating on the Book of Job.
Job 29:4
"Oh, for the days when I was in my prime, when God's intimate friendship blessed my house,"
As we can see in this chapter, Job was recalling his past days when everything was well with him. He remembers God's light and watch over him, His children playing around him, abundance of food and wealth he had, honor he received at the city gate, and etc.
In the midst of all this, He just puts forth the reason of all this blessing on his house. That was the intimate friendship Job had with God.
Off course, this is the very friendship that gave God such a confidence in Job's integrity and faithfulness towards God that made God challenge Satan about Job. Friendship with God not only for all blessings but also to bring glory to His name in front of Satan and to put Him to shame.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Col 2:15
"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him." 2 Cor 2:14

Prayer that pleases God
Yesterday(Tuesday, July 27, 2010), I have attended prayer at Rehoboth-KPHB. There the message for prayer was as follows.
Psalms 2:8
"Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. "
God's desire is that we should ask him and get from Him.
Unanswered Prayers:
Then why are we not getting in spite of asking Him?
James 4:2,3
"You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. "
Many times we ask God things that we may spend it for our pleasure.
Here is an example:
Mark 10:35-45
"Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him. "Teacher," they said, "we want you to do for us whatever we ask."
"What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.
They replied, "Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory." "
Here the prayer of this brothers seems to be heavenly and spiritual. But the Lord knows motive behind that prayer. Glory of whom are they seeking? Their own. Selfish prayer.
Vs.38 "You don't know what you are asking," Jesus said.
They are asking , upholdong promises and prayer seems to be spiritual. but They do not know what they are asking. Foolish prayer.
Jesus then asked them "Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with? " It has got a great cost to be paid. Glory does not come free of cost.
Vs.39 "We can," they answered.
What is this cup that Jesus spoke about?
Luke 22:42
"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."
Even Jesus was in a great agony when He had to take that cup. But James and John were saying that they can drink of that cup.
Finally Jesus said
Vs.39 "You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with, 40but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared."
This is a good example of unanswered prayers normally Christians use to do.
Answered prayers:
Here is the prayer of Solomon, the ever wisest king on earth.
1 Kings 4:3-9
5 At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, "Ask for whatever you want me to give you."
6 Solomon answered, "You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day.
7 "Now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. 8 Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. 9 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?"
This prayer consists of thanks giving, humility, love for God's people (Finally towards God) and complete dependence on God.
Vs.10 "The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this."
This is the prayer that pleases the Lord.
And Solomon got riches, long life as well along with wisdom.
This is the fulfillment of the promise in Eph 3:20.
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,..."
David says like this in Psalms 122:6(NASB)
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you."
Jerusalem here does not mean in literal sense. But it indicates the children of God, Church of God, people who stand for God or people who stand in the presence of God. Praying for them is what pleases God and it also helps us prosper in turn.
This is the same with Job too.
Job 42:10
"After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before."
Job prayed for his friends when he was still in his most terrible condition. After Job prayed for his friends, he was blessed twice and His Friends were forgiven of their sins. This is more than two fold blessing. This is one of the secrets in the Bible. If we pray for others, we will get twice.

Rom 12:3 According to the meassure of FAITH given by God
Sunday message:
Every one , who is born again has got a meassure of Faith , given by God. Two places God marvelled at the faith of the people is at Luk:7 (The centurian) and at the faith of cananite woman , both of whom have had a great faith in the authority of Jesus though they were gentiles.
Jesus Had that authority because He obeyed the authority of Father. If we believe in His authority and surrender our life and our decissions and everything else, He will give us authority over things. Obeying His authority also enables us freely claim any of 13000 promises from His word.

Sunday message - Knowing who I am in christ
2 Cor:2:3-5
"...Bringing down the fortresses and speculation that exalt against God."
These are the thoughts that rise in our minds against the nature of God . It is because we were walking in darkness in our past (Ephesians 2:2 "..in time past ye walked according to the course of this world...") , Enemy has sown some seeds of his nature in our minds. Hence even after getting saved, after our sins are forgiven those seeds trouble us. So our old mind should be renewed into a new mind... a christ like nature.
When enemy comes to us he comes first questioning our status in christ and then shows us circumstances all around and tries to create a doubt (the same way he went to tempt Eve and Jesus). If we are not knowing who we are and circumstances are nothing to do with our position in Christ and all things are working are working together for good to those who love God and to those called by God, We are in danger of falling prey to Enemy.
Ephesins 1:1-3,18-22
Our position in christ :
1. Chosen before the foundation of the world
2.Predestinated unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to God
And we should see:
1. The hope our calling
2. Riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints(in us)
3. The Exceeding Greateness of his power in us who believe
This power is the power of saving us from our sins which even much more greater than the power of creation in which God created all things just through the word of his mouth
Mathew 7:20
"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:"
If we do these things we will not stumble.
